It would be just like the Harold Journal to give the Cache Democrats and their policies a full debut. They wouldn't think to give Republicans or other third parties a write-up. In last week’s article, Democrats were talked up and made out to be the best choice because they want to help poor people. As if the Democrats are the only ones who care. Conservatives care to; they just don't want to break people by increasing taxes over and over again. Increasing taxes and redistributing wealth to the poor doesn't help the poor in the end. Hard work and experience is what will help people succeed in life. Democrats state that "they believe in looking out for each other" in the community. There is nothing wrong with that alone. The difference with Democrats and Conservatives is that Democrats want to force us all through passing laws to look out for each other.

This article also stated that 610 KVNU broadcasts ultra right wing shows. If I'm not mistaken, Democrats have PBS and NPR. 610 KVNU is private owned, NPR and PBS are public owned and paid for us, the tax payer. NPR and PBS broadcast ultra left wing programs paid for by us. I don't see what Democrats are complaining about.

Perhaps it should be said the Republican policy, at least for the last 6 years, is to spend spend spend and have somebody else pay for it, national debt. My big concern is how many students are misled to get their support from the government through Medicare, WIC, Food Stamps, Subsidized Rent among other things. Even I was diuped as an undergrad to use Medicare and WIC. The LDS church believes that you should first look to self, then family, then the church for support but never the government. But too many are impatient waiting to get nice things and spend too much on new cars, food, a nicer place then they can afford, and "needed" vacations. I was fortunate to be taught how not to waste money and was able to go through my undergrad and masters with no debt but many are not as fortunate. So, how do we educate them and help them avoid the chains of materialism and debt?
