Cold Hard Reality

            There are certain realities in life. Some of these are so disconcerting to many that they refuse to recognize them. One of these realities is that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!   Our Courts have repeatedly ruled that the police are not responsible for any ones individual safety. They are almost there after the fact to arrest the perpetrator.  Many people like to live in a fantasy world. The existents of Gun Free Zones are a perfect example of this! You especially hear people who exist in Academia (la la land) who insist that citizens who have concealed carry permits not be allowed on campus. “Guns don’t belong in a University environment!” Well guess what. Those with criminal intent could care less about your stupid rules and fantasies. They have a fantasy of their own. Their fantasy is that you do not deserve to live.

            Virginia Tech insisted that CCP holders not be allowed to carry on campus. They even punished one student for this offense. I only wish these people could be held legally accountable for their inane attitudes. For the dyed in the wool liberal, being able to protect oneself is inconceivable. It is a non sequitur. They know nothing about firearms but are sure that they are hard to use. This foolishness has lead to incalculable horror. Few people know that before he was Secretary of the UN, Kofi Annan was head of their peace keeping forces. There was a sizeable force located in Rwanda during his reign. They disarmed the Tutsi then stood by while the Hutu’s slaughtered them with machetes. Some of these forces pleaded with him to be allowed to protect the Tutsis. He refused. If you want to know the ultimate insanity of the Liberal mindset one only look to England. It has basically become illegal to defend yourself in that country. Now that’s civilized!

            You see citizens have arms, subjects do not. I will never allow myself to be treated as a subject. To me, that is not being a man. But then again we now live in the age of the metro-sexual. Half man (neutered), half women or something like that. Many people prefer their own emotional thinking to that of facts and logic. You can show them statistics and examples until the cows come home but that will not change their mind! They would rather be dead (and right) then to live in the real world. You see there will always be wolves. That is reality. You cannot change that. You only have a choice as to whether you are a sheep or the herder. Most prefer being a sheep. It seems much easier. You do not have to worry or concern yourself with very much. You let others do the thinking and protecting. You get to frolic until the wolves come, but then it is too late.  But they only take a few.

            We as humans seek to understand senseless tragedies like Virginia Tech. There is very little to understand. Evil exists. We might not like to think like that or call it what it is, but it still exists. Ultimately, no one can protect you from it but yourself. You can pass all the laws you want. You can force someone to undergo counseling, medicate them or mark them for life. But, history teaches us time and again that if there is a will we will find a way. Someone as determined as the twisted perp of said tragedy will always find a way if they are motivated enough. Prisoners fashion all kinds of weapons in the most controlled environment possible. The Viet Cong were absolutely ingenious with their weapons. I wish things were different, but wishing is simply a waste of time. The gun grabbers are not rational beings. For most it is a waste of energy to try and reason with them. Most are elitist and could care less about your safety. They only want to feel protected from the unwashed masses. That was the origin of the Sullivan laws passed in New York in the twenties. The elites were afraid of all of the immigrants (mostly Irish and Italians) coming into this country so they sought to disarm them. Gun control in the South was to disarm blacks. The 1968 Gun Control act wasn’t about presidential assassination, it was about protecting the California elite from the Black Panthers. Incidentally, it was copied almost verbatim from the German 1933 gun control act.
