Mandatory recycling?! What a bunch of garbage. I can’t believe the Cache County Council would put this on us. Many citizens are already recycling. Why up our Tax/Fees again? The average citizen is already paying half their income in taxes and fees! When is enough going to be enough? This is just flat out wrong! We need to get this stopped. Time to vote those who voted for this off the Council!

I was at the Cache Country Republican Convention tonight and it was proposed to do a debate on it and take a straw vote and the vote showed that a strong majority were against it.

Even if 90+ % of the people are against it, do you think they will reverse it? I don't think they will. They simply don't care about what we think! This a chance for Cache County to create more income in order to feed their pocket books along with Logan City! Logan City wants to take over northern Utah. I'm getting sick of our County and City government taking more and more money form us! We don't want or need these programs. Next thing will be to force us to pay for and drink water with Floride.

why is it that bad? im confused, ive been taught that recycling is a good thing. plus with curb side pick up, it makes it way easier than having to haul all of your recyclables to one of two spots (i only know of 2 anyways).and how much is it actually costing? isnt the environment worth it? i am concerned with how the issue of glass would be dealt with, currently you cant put it in the blue cans.

Here are some concerns that were brought up during the Cache Country Republican Convention.

First of all, you HAVE TO pay for it. Secondly, is there a need for the product that is produced by recycling methods? Third, does Logan have the infrastrucure available to do this efficiently enough that we are no wasting more resources than we save?

I am sure there are many other reasons but these are just a few.
