Not to get all picky, but a dedicated portion of a forum isn't exactly a blog.  It seems to me that providing a more general forum under which users can make posts would satisfy Zasch's needs without setting the site onto a slippery slope of proliferating individual forums.

Users interested in creating a real-live blog could check out one of the many online services availble (such as Google's Blogger).  These sites have become much easier to use, while being more sophisticated, in the last few years.

(I can't speak for Zasch on this one.  He may really want his own area to start threads.  Even if he gets that, some of the rest of us would like a place where we can post things that don't fit neatly into one of the other forums.  For an example of a well-run, and well participated-in, board, check out the Snider Board.)

I realise that an actual blog, as the term is commonly used, would not seem to include a forum. However, this site uses the terminology blogs, and so I adopt it as well.

I don't care if I get my own little space or not, and if I do, I don't care if it is used for the purpose of posting something that doesn't fit neatly into the other forums. I'd like a space where I can post my own threads without "invading" someone else's space.

Zasch,

I would be more than happy to get a blog for you on here. I E-mailed you a few weeks ago asking for some info on yourself. Please E-mail me your full name so I can set up the blog. For personal blogs we need a full name. I will get this setup within a few hours of receiving your E-mail. Happy to have you on here. My E-mail is admin@loganutah.com

Fiery Darts,

This website is more for local issues but is also a good place to debate any issue. To best address local issues, this is one of the better places for a blog due to the high level domain names such as loganutah.com and bridgerland.com and cacheutah.com. I would be more than happy to include a general section at the top of the "Public Policy" section for you if that would help. I agree that there are some issues that may not fall under the preset issues. We do like the preset sections because they fully address local issues that are important for people around here. As you may have noted, we did consolidate some of them and remove some as well in order to make things more simple.

I see that you added a "general" section. Thank you.

I did notice, and I think that the changes have made the site a little easier to follow.

I have really enjoyed my participation on this site, and I appreciate the work that has been done to establish and maintain it.
