A CALL TO ACTION!

Running Dog Lackeys

The Red Chinese used to have very colorful slogans whenever they criticized the West (read United States). They used to call any country which supported the USA “Running Dog Lackeys.” You might be old enough to remember the term “Paper Tigers” as well. We I submit that the Major Media (MM) have become the running dog lackeys of the left. Why, because of there cowardly refusal to print the so called Mohammed cartoons which appeared originally in an obscure Belgium journal. The same cartoons were six months later printed in a major Egyptian paper with hardly a yawn! That was before a very few enterprising Imams began their campaign with the Muslim world. They duplicitously threw in three fake cartoons; in insure the masses would be sufficiently incensed.

The MM gave all kinds of excuses such as sensitivity to other peoples beliefs and similar tall tales. Both the New York Times and the Washington Post have had both lengthy articles and pictures about “Piss Christ” and the “Virgin Dung Mary” but evidently they only prefer to insult people who they are certain will not cut off their heads. Three MM outlets at least had the honesty to say why they wouldn’t print the cartoons. The Boston Phoenix said “…fear of retaliation from the international brotherhood of radical and bloodthirsty Islamists who seek to impose their will on those who do not believe as they do. This is, frankly, our primary reason for not publishing any of the images in question. Simply stated, we are being terrorized and as deeply as we believe in the principles of free speech and a free press, we could not in good conscience place the men and women who work at the Phoenix and its related companies in physical jeopardy. As we feel forced, literally, to bend to maniacal pressure, this many be the darkest moment in our 40-year publishing history.”

Well at least they had the courage to be honest. Two other examples would be Comedy Central who blanked out the image of Mohammed which was scheduled to be broadcast (even though, they have no problem showing Jesus BEEPting on President Bush). And finally Borders Books refused to carry an issue of the magazine Free Inquiry for the “safety and security of our customers and employees…” When Selman Rushdie was given a death sentence the left was quit bold in voicing support for him, since it didn’t involve risking their own necks. Maybe that is why they hate the military so much. They are constantly reminded by them of what cowards they truly are.

So much for principles, just cut off a few of their heads and record it on video tape and you have them by the testicles (as small as they must be).

Peace

Are the left 'against' the military? Bush, in his desperation to get support for the 'war', has called all those who oppose the war to be anti-military. Could not a stronger arguement be made that Bush is against the military as he is sending them into harms way with no formal congressional approval as stated in the Constitution? I would say that there is even a stronger case that he is 'against the military' by pushing us towards a world governement and then buddying up to the U.N. who hungrily lust after control of our military. One of the really scary thing is that there are proposals for a univeral draft in the US which would rip families apart. The proposal allows husbands and wives to be drafted at the same time. What about their children? I am sure the government would be more then happy to 'raise' them for you.

Dear Mulholland you are starting to sound like a broken record. Why don't you take a stand in stead of just critising the beliefs of others? You might just find that your principled arguements just are not workable.

Gunrights,
I am not sure what you mean by take a stand. You point out your ideas of how you think things should be done and I am doing the same thing with my ideas. Do you think that there are problems with my principles? What are they? What parts of my principles do you feel are not workable? Let's discuss the answers to these questions instead of using blanket statements.

For starters what is it that you suggest we do. I know that our government is not following the Constitution. Unfortautely the American people do not seem to care or understand this themselves. So how do we change things? I am waiting to here your answer. I am a Libertarian at heart. I am also a strict constructionalist. In order for any group to change its direction, it first needs to know that it is going the wrong way, in a way that they can understand. I point is that you are talking way over most peoples heads. You seem not either to recognize this or care.

For the record, I think that both of you are right. You both may have somewhat different ways but the principle is similar. If Americans in General could understand what both of you know, our country would be doing much better.

I think we are doing ourselves a disfavor by spreading our discussion to many different pages. Perhaps it would be wise to focus our discussion on one page since we are basically talking about the same thing. I don't want to have to write a long reply to each thing. Please see my post in Patriot's Day.
