A CALL TO ACTION!

God Bless Mike Lowe

I do not know who Mike Lowe is, but I would very much like to shake his hand. His letter in the HJ (7/26/06) was great! I find humans to be the most curious of creatures. We operate far more from our emotions than we would ever like to admit. Mans ability to fool himself has to be our greatest weakness. Wanting something to be true, does not make it so. The topic of climate change and especially the religion of anthropomorphic caused warming will go down in history as one of the greatest hoaxes imposed on humankind. People who would not know thermodynamics if it bit them in the ass and undoubtedly avoided physics, chemistry and math like the plague warmly embrace this cause with all of their heart. Not having a clue as to the true economic impact of Kyoto they worship at this altar like true monks.

What is it about us, which leads to such self loathing? Why do we feel such guilt for our lifestyle? Whoever writes their dissertation on the subject of group think especially regarding such environmental concerns will be the first social psychologist to win a Nobel Prize. There was a letter to the Editor of the HJ a few days ago where the writer made some of the most sweeping and absurd statements I have ever read in print (and that says a lot). He used the term “incontrovertible proof” and other such sweeping statements to promote his cause. It slays me that the same people who are so worried about “America’s Theocracy” have no problem engaging, with religious fervor, whatever the cause de Jour happens to be.

Quite awhile ago I intensely studied the issue of gun control. One of the most surprising conclusions which I came to was that those who fear others having guns, actually fear the evil which lurks within their own hearts and which they would like to manifest. In other words it is they would like to pick up a gun and shoot down whomever they would like. So in turn, they seek to deny those with better impulse control the right to defend themselves. This psychological concept is called projection. That is we project what we resist or fear within ourselves on others. Having come from the left I am constantly amazed at the autocratic and down right dictatorial tendencies within this group. From speech codes and slinging epitaphs they very much seek to intimidate and control others. They of course justify all of this by their beliefs in their moral superiority. “They” just know that they are superior to the Neanderthals which they consider us, and therefore the ends do justify the means. Just look at how skewed the HJ's concept of equal time is regarding their opinion page. Thad Box and Joe (Dull) Dulin constantly rail against conservative thought yet the best we have on the other side are people who write about picnics and horseradish!

I guess that is why I do not have more sympathy with this camp. I know the danger which they represent. Of course if you have read anything at all about life in the Soviet Gulags or Mao’s paradise this will not surprise you. What is surprising is that absolute dearth of books regarding the terror of Communism. Go to Amazon.com and search for books regarding the holocaust and you will find thousands. Try the same with communist repression, etc. and you get zip! Our Intelligentsia have an ongoing love affair with Communism which will not die! Now, instead of the dictatorship of the Proletariat we have the dictatorship of the professor! The only place were totally corrupt and unworkable philosophies can still prosper. Curious indeed.

Peace

You mean that I am supposed to find that global warming is false with my $1m grant to prove global warming? I think I need to read the Naked Communist by Skousen. I hear that is a great book on Communism.

Well written post.
