Something is Rotten in Denmark

            I have written previous about the secret data mining program known as Able Danger. None of us would know anything about this program if it were not for Kurt Weldon (R Pa). This program uncovered Mohammed Atta and three other Al Qaeda agents prior to 9/11 but were prevented warning the FBI, by lawyers in the Pentagon. The DoD has repeatedly tried to block any meaningful investigation about this program and its results. They moved very rapidly to remove Top Secret clearance for LtCol. Anthony Shaffer (who was a member of this program and went to Rep. Weldon when it became apparent that the 9/11 commission was going to cover up what his group had uncovered). They then forbade any officer from testifying about this program to Congress. They have repeatedly blocked any freedom of information release about this program and any relevant documents. They have claimed to have destroyed over 10,000 such documents. Now it seems they are about to release a top secret investigation to Congress which denies all of the claims made by former members of this program.

            Additionally, Bill Clinton, Madeline Albright, Mary McCarthy (former CIA analyst recently fired for failing a polygraph test) and other top democratic and Clinton officials are campaigning heavily to boot Rep. Weldon out of office. Many members of our intelligence community are furious with Rep. Weldon for revealing how corrupt the whole thing is. You see the 9/11 commission was a sham and never meant to reveal anything damaging about the many failings of our 30 billion dollar a year intelligence apparatus.

            Sandy Berger, former Clinton national security advisor was caught stealing and destroying (and also lying about such acts) intelligence documents from the National Archives why preparing his testimony before the 9/11 commission. What he took and also destroyed has been covered up and he was quickly given a slap on the wrist by the Justice Dept.. Of course our watchdogs of the media have virtually ignored this whole issue. They are really good at hyping and misrepresenting national intelligence programs designed to catch Al Qaeda, but have consistently avoided any real revelations on how their boy Clinton left us defenseless against terrorists. They have vigorously tried to slime Rep. Weldon though. It is time the American people woke up and learned that our government will never truly investigate itself. Unfortunately, I have become convinced that it will take a nuclear attack on one or more of our major cities before people demand meaningful action.
