I'm asking myself if the City of Logan is taking sides with regards to the war in Iraq. It would be one thing to display boots on city property in order to remember and give thanks for the sacrifices made by our soldiers in Iraq. It's a whole other thing to display boots with a political ax to grind with Bush as the bad guy like normal.

I'm talking about the Eyes Wide Open memorial. I was driving by the Logan Library on Saturday and saw all the soldiers boots on the front lawn. At first glance, it was very touching. Upon looking at it more carefully, I saw all the usual peaceniks with their Subaru Outbacks and Saabs hanging out with their go global, 60's, USU, UN, Darwin, hate religion, hate Bush bumper stickers.

My question is, why would Logan City allow this? Would Logan City allow Sean Hannity to come and speak about how good the President is at the Library all day? Probably not! As far as I can tell, Logan City is in support of these people if they are allowed to use City resources to propagate their Liberal, Anti American propaganda on City property.

Thank the soldiers but don't undermine their efforts using city resources and then say you are for them. What a lie! This is not Salt Lake City where Rocky uses the City as his own anti American, Bush, LDS tool!

I am for free speech! If you object to such a demostration then why not organize your own in support of our troops and the war. Numerous leftists and pacificists write letters to the editor of the HJ criticizing the war without much of a response from the citizens of Cache Valley. I have written numerous letters to the editor defending our war effort but few have supported me. Why not get involved or support those who are. I often feel like a lone wolf out there. Do you really want to suppress peoples rights to demonstrate or oppose the war. The best way to counter them is to demand equal time and use it! Our soldiers are fighting to defend the rights of its citizens to speak their minds even if they are wrong headed or even anti American! Expose them for what they are!

I'm also for free speech! That's not what I'm saying! They can say what they want anytime they want! The question is, would Logan City allow a support President Bush soapbox on city property? Probably not! In the name of not wanting to offend people is what they would tell you. It seems that there are all these anti war, Bush, America events on government property but none of the other side. I also blame some of the passive local people who won't stand for something right even though they believe in it.

By the way, your not a "lone wolf ." I would stand with you any time!

The fact is that the government should not take sides yet these people get anything they want all the time from the City, County and Liberal USU all of which our Tax dollars go into. Just look at Rocky Anderson in Salt Lake! He should be thrown out of office! He has free speech rights but he should not use City resources and his position as Mayor to further his cause! I worry that this is going on in Cache County / Logan City. Then as usual, The Herald Journal covers it on the front page like it is breaking news! They get a complete free pass every time!!!

That is my concern!

Why don't you ask what the policy is? Instead of assuming they won't let you have a pro-war rally you should try it and report your results. It is often not just the amount of people who care but the extent to which they care and show it. I have heard too many blind accusations on this site with little evidence to back them up.

I could say the same for you!

All we here about from you is all the JBS stuff about how the war is bad regardless. You don't seem to care about the fact that we are under attack. That is a fact! Do you remember 9/11? Are you just as blind as others who don't even seem to think that it happened? By the way, I'm not pro war! I just use common sense when I know that we are in danger from terrorists.

It is a fact that Logan City is full of liberals who support anti-war/American ideas.
