A CALL TO ACTION!

Hypocrisy & Corruption

I am truly neither a Democrat nor Republican, I just find most liberal positions and politicians to be more hypocritical and lacking the true interests of the American people in their activities.  If any of you out there still doubt that there is an overwhelming leftist bias in the Major Media (MM) I would like to point out a few things. There has been a great deal of coverage regarding corruption in Congress recently. The indictment of former House Speaker Tom Delay (R TX) is a case in point. Almost no one in the MM have pointed out that the DA who has charged Delay is a long time Democratic nut-job with a long history of partisan prosecutions. And of course there has been a great deal of publicity regarding the Jack Abramoff scandal where they always mention that he used to be a former staff member of Delay’s. When reporting this scandal they seem to miss the fact that many Democratic Congressmen have financially benefited from him as well.

There are number of other brewing scandals for which there has been little if any coverage. A really startling one is that of Alan Mollohan (D WV). One interesting thing about this scandal is that Mollohan is the top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee! It seems that Mr. Mollohan has legislated earmarks for certain non-profit groups on which boards sit members of his own staff or friends. His total wealth has grown remarkably since he was elected to Congress just a few years ago.  In addition he has consistently severally devalued his net worth when filling notice with Congress. Ms. Pelosi (D CA) the minority leader of the Senate has been making a big deal of what she calls the “Republican culture of corruption.” Her observations seem to be very one-sided though and the MM seems to have the same problem. Another case is that of Sen. Byron Dorgan (D ND) who happens to be the ranking Democrat on the Senate Committee investigating the Jack Abramoff pay-off investigation. It seems Mr. Dorgan also was involved in taking money from an Indian Tribe at Arbramoffs direction for which he later received $5,000 for his PAC. Just three weeks before he lobbied/voted to give money to the same tribes school program. Have you heard anything at all about this? Or another interesting tidbit is that Democrat John Conyer (D MI) has used his staff for many personal tasks which is against Congressional rules. He force members of his staff to baby sit, campaign for his wife and other household and personal matters. Of course you have heard nothing of this. Another thing for which there has been silence by the MM has been the indictment of several staffers for Senator Charles Schumer (D NY) for illegally obtaining financial records and the Social Security Number of a Republican candidate for office.

It seems when the MM actively reports corruption it only involves Republicans, while Democrats engaged equally if not more so scam the system with little notice.

Peace

Sorry, I got you confused with nonleft.  Please disregard the rest of this comment.  You're not a Republican? Then why did you accuse me of trying to destroy the Republican Party?
