Hamas, which has cells in this country makes it very clear what they want.

Hamas Calls for 'Extermination of Jews'

The Palestinian militant organization Hamas not only wants the elimination of the state of Israel, but also the extermination of the Jews, according to the group’s newspaper.

"The extermination of Jews is Allah’s will and is for the benefit of all humanity, according to an article in the Hamas paper Al-Risalah,” the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) reports.

"The author of the article, Kan’an Ubayd, explains that the suicide operations carried out by Hamas are being committed solely to fulfill Allah’s wishes. Furthermore, Allah demanded this action, because ‘the extermination of the Jews is good for the inhabitants of the worlds.’”

PMW points out that Hamas’ justification for the extermination of the Jews echoes Adolph Hitler’s words in "Mein Kampf”: "Thus I believe today that I am acting according to the will of the almighty Creator: when I defend myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.”

Another Hamas statement monitored by the PMW called Judaism "a faith that is based on murder.”

And in a televised speech, Dr. Ahmad Bahar, Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council, called for the killing of Americans as well as Jews.

Bahar said his people were "afflicted by the cancerous lump, that is the Jews, in the heart of the Arab nation,” according to a transcript provided by the PMW.

"Be certain that America is on its way to disappear. America is wallowing [in blood] today in Iraq and Afghanistan. America is defeated and Israel is defeated . . . Allah, take hold of the Jews and their allies. Allah, take hold of the Americans and their allies . . . Allah, count them and kill them to the last one and don’t leave even one.”

I'm not sure why this was posted. It has long been known that Hamas wants to wipe out the Jews (at least in Israel, but outside of that country they have no power so no one cares what they want to do). The US and many other countries have sanctions against them, largely because of their violent hatred for the Jews, with emphasis on the violent part.

Also, I don't see where the article states that Hamas "has cells in this country" unless you count the (entirely unaffiliated) Muslim congregations in the country (we've been over this before, by the way).

There are known Hamas cells in this country. They still receive funding from sources within this country. Your ignorance is truly appalling. Israel is viewed by many if not most in Europe as the cause of the problem. I used to think that another Holocaust would never happen. Now I believe it is just a matter of time. The Major Media always paint Israel in the worst possible light while ignoring numerous atrocities and threats from their Arab neighbors.

I'm still perplexed by this thread.  There is still no apparent reason for your desire to reiterate the consensus international position that Hamas is violently opposed to Israel.  As for your other points, they were not made in your original post and are made here without sources and with enough broad generalizations to make me suspect that your position is a reactionary one based on a limited sample of data while blatently ignoring everything contrary to it.

I already knew that Hamas wanted to wipe out Israel.  I already knew that many people blame Israel for the conflict in that region.  I did not know about Hamas cells in the US, but without some sort of figures (number of members, funding levels, etc.) it is a meaningless assertion.  Most of all, I think that your use of the word "holocaust" is a poor choice since it invokes Godwin's Law and is a specious attempt to liken a systematic genocide with a disorganized campaign of fear and intimidation.

Blah, Blah, Blah. Hatred of Jews is widespread in not only the Arab and Muslim world, but is becoming very common in Western Europe. With Islamic success in obtaining Nuclear Weapons and very biased reporting on Israel throughout the world and Israel becoming more and more isolated the point seem obvious to me. You and I clearly do not see things eye to eye. What I would like to know is what is the purpose of your constantly sniping at my postings. Because I cannot tell you in exact numbers how many members or supporters of Hamas or Hezbollah there are in this country does not in any way reduce the threat. What you are asking for is impossible for me to supply. Ask someone who will be candid with you in the FBI if there are Hamas supporters. If you think that the Arab hatred and planned destruction of Israel and Jews across the world is disorganized than you are truly delusional. Do you have any idea of how many Jews throughout the Muslim world have been killed, terrorized and forced to leave? How about Christians? It is people like you who insist on ignoring the rising threat that make it such a threat. You live in a dream world or "reasonableness." Neville Chamberlain lives!

I find it appropriate that you bring up Chamberlain because I had often used his appeasement methods and their consequences as arguments in favor of invading Iraq.  If there is one conclusion that can be drawn from his experiences it is that the international community cannot tolerate countries that try to subjugate other nations to make them their own.

(Critics of the Iraq War would point out that the US invaded Iraq and subjugated it, but the difference is that the US never tried to make Iraq part of its territory, but has instead tried to allow the Iraqis to control their own nation as much as possible.)

As for why I snipe at your postings, it's probably because they tend to be so single-minded as to thoroughly ignore all competing facts and ideas.  The articles that you cite are typically written by people who are just advancing their personal agendas (just as they accuse their enemies of doing).  Of course there is some truth to what they say, but they sprinkle it with wild accusations and inappropriate inflammatory rhetoric so as to make the reader's response not a reacton to whatever facts are presented but to their darkest fears, even when there is no real connection to be made.

I also object to your tendency to present well-known facts as groundbreaking revelations.  The Russo video was a fine example of that.  Russo didn't present any ideas in that video (aside from material specific to the Patriot Act) that hadn't been put forth and thoroughly discredited decades ago.  Free speech allows him the right to say what he wants, even if it is patently false and deceptive, but it also allows me to openly mock anyone naive enough to believe him.

Ultimately, I don't think that hating the Muslims will help make peace between us.  This is not to say that I think that we should roll over and play dead when threatened, but as I have pointed out before, there are lots of moderate Muslims who can be made into allys if we do not deliberately push them away.  Good people of any faith will denounce the murderous behavior of extremists, especially if they can see an alternative that is clearly better.  I think that it is still too early to introduce democracy in many Muslim countries because they are not ready for it yet, but it isn't too early to encourage a freer flow of ideas and people so that they can come to know their Christian neighbors and realize that while we may not believe in Allah, we do not have to be His enemy either.

It is your political correctness branwashing which indicates that I hate Muslims (ie if you criticize Islam then you must hate all Muslims). This is absurd and should be obvious. Yes, I have a specific point of view. Therefore I promote that viewpoint. You on the other hand seem to have either no point of view or worse every point of view. Perhaps you are familiar with the debate about the 16th amendment, the Federal reserve etc but that does not mean everyone does. I do not write these posts just for you, which seems very egotisical. Again, I would like to know what it is that you believe. Why dont you take a stand? It is easy to snipe from the sidelines. My beliefs are the product of years of research and learning. Again I point out how you dismissed the studies about guns being used to prevent crime by simplying stating that you had read opposite studies. All viewpoints are not equal. You are a very tiresome and intellectually weak individual. A typical product of our failed educational system.

I would like to add something else. What many (including yourself) fail to realize is that Islam is a total world view. It rejects any secular ideas. In fact it believes that there are no legimate laws outside of Sharia which is found within the Koran etc. Democracy is viewed as a direct threat to Islam. There is a reason why science stopped in the Muslim world about five hundred years ago. How the world works is the business of Allah, not man. To question nature is to question Allah. You being a product of our progressive educational system which teaches that all religions are equal and cannot be judged (because to do so requires a cultural viewpoint) is a highly bankrupt philosophy. I am sure that you are totally unaware of this programming. It has been so incalcated within your brain that you are not even aware of it. I also submit that you know next to nothing of Islam. What exactly have you read to make you worthy of comment? Just parroting things which you have been told does not count. There is a hugh gulf which seperates us. I used to think like you. I have changed only because of real world experience. This experience cannot be condensed to a few simple words.
